The Tapestry Room Revealed at Kelmscott Manor

Following months of careful conservation, the Manor’s remarkable tapestries will be returned to their historic setting—allowing the room to be experienced as it was in Morris's day. This moment marks the culmination of the Society’s long-held vision to renew and reveal the interiors of Kelmscott Manor in all their richness and authenticity.  The image shows the 'wet clean' process for one of the tapestries.

The event runs from 12pm - 4pm and includes lunch

The Tapestry Room Revealed at Kelmscott Manor
Tuesday 16 June 2026

Following months of careful conservation, the Manor’s remarkable tapestries will be returned to their historic setting—allowing the room to be experienced as it was in Morris's day. This moment marks the culmination of the Society’s long-held vision to renew and reveal the interiors of Kelmscott Manor in all their richness and authenticity.  The image shows the 'wet clean' process for one of the tapestries.

The event runs from 12pm - 4pm and includes lunch
